On Tuesday, May 29, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing announced a $388 million investment in the Montgomery plant. This expansion is to accommodate technology upgrades, to add engine head machining capabilities, and will create 50 new jobs. This news came the same week that Hyundai plans to begin manufacturing the new Santa Fe SUV in Montgomery. President and CEO, D.R. Choi spoke at the press conference saying, “Hyundai is continuing its track record of investment in new manufacturing technologies to ensure the long-term success of our Alabama Assembly plant.” Read more on this story here and watch the video below!
